Why Doesn’t Grandmaster Rank Show Even After Reaching the Required Points?
Some players may reach the required rank points for Grandmaster in Free Fire but notice that the rank isn’t displayed immediately. This article explains why this happens and how the system works.
1️⃣ Season Reset & Rank Progress
Ranked seasons in Free Fire reset at the start of each season.
Even if you reached Grandmaster last season, your points will reset, and you need to re-earn rank points in the new season to see the Grandmaster rank.
After reaching the required points, it may take a few matches or minutes for the system to update your visible rank.
2️⃣ Grandmaster Player Cap
Grandmaster is a limited-rank tier with a maximum number of players per server (usually top 300–500, depending on the region).
If the server already has the maximum number of Grandmasters, your rank will temporarily remain at the previous tier (Diamond/Platinum).
Your rank will automatically update when higher-ranked players drop out of Grandmaster.
3️⃣ Server Sync Delays
Rank changes are processed by the server and may not appear instantly in your profile.
Logging out and back in or waiting a few minutes usually resolves the delay.
4️⃣ Account Restrictions
Accounts flagged for issues such as AFK, matchmaking abuse, or penalties may experience delays or restrictions in rank updates.
Why Did My Account Get Deranked in Free Fire?
Players sometimes notice a drop in their rank in Free Fire even after earning points. This article explains the common reasons why accounts get deranked and how to prevent it.
1️⃣ Losing Matches
Rank points are gained by winning matches and performing well.
Conversely, losing matches or being eliminated early can result in rank point loss, which may cause your rank to drop.
Maintaining rank requires consistent performance in matches.
2️⃣ AFK or Leaving Matches
Accounts that go AFK (Away From Keyboard) or leave matches early are penalized with point deductions.
Repeated inactivity or match abandonment can lead to significant rank drops.
3️⃣ Violating Game Rules
Accounts that violate Free Fire’s rules, including cheating, exploiting bugs, or abusing matchmaking, may face automatic rank penalties such as getting rank reset to Bronze.
This can result in deranking or temporary suspension depending on the severity of the violation.
4️⃣ Rank Decay
Free Fire may apply rank decay to accounts that remain inactive in ranked matches for an extended period.
This encourages active participation and ensures the leaderboard reflects active, competitive players.
